California native Kinkipar Island Bush Mallow with the Western Checkered Skipper butterflies that consume the mallow plant for food. 

Hand painted mineral pigment watercolor upon thick cotton paper pressed with an antique textile. 

The frame is custom made Bass wood stained by hand by the artist with white milk paint and finished with organic bees wax.

Paper: Various colors of French paper produced with 100% hydroelectric power
